Johann Christian Müller, a farmer, and his wife Anna Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Schwab on 12 September 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 42.

Adam Müller is recorded on the 1798 census of Schwab in Household No. Sb45 with a note that he is working in Dreispitz.

The 1767 census records that Johann Christian Müller came from the German village of Eschau.
