Johann Friedrich [sic], a farmer, his wife Katharina, and daughters (Katharina, age 3; Margaretha, age 1¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 May 1766 aboard the galliot named Adler (Eagle) under the command of the Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
Johann Friedrichsen (age 28), a farmer, and his [new] wife Anna Dorothea [age not recorded] are recorded on the 1767 census of Dinkel in Household No. 26.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Friedrich [sic] came from Holstein. The 1767 census of Dinkel records that Johann Friedrichsen was a farmer from the Danish village of Holmdrup.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Friedrichsen family among the Volga German colonies.
