Discussion & Documentation

Christian Müller, a butcher, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann und Frau under the command of Skipper Daniel Berg.

Christian Müller, a butcher (Fleischer), his wife Katharina, and daughter Margaretha (age 1 month) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dinkel in Household No. 50. They had settled there on 27 July 1767.

The 1767 census records that Christian Müller came from the German village of Dessau in the Anhalt region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Müller family among the Volga German colonies.
