Johann Adam Mauser [sic], a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and children (Johann Georg, age 18; Elisabeth, age 16; Johann Jakob, age 10¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard a ship named Die Neue Fortuna (The New Fortune) under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.
Widow Anna Mauser [sic] is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Widow Anna Maria Meiser, a farmer's wife, and her children (Elisabeth, age 17; Johann, age 13) are recorded on the 1767 census of Brabander in Household No. 117. They had arrived in Brabander on 11 August 1767. [A note on the 1767 census records that her unnamed husband died on 19 October 1767. This must have been a second husband whom she married following arrival in Brabander.]
In 1790, widower Jakob Meiser and his family moved to Astrakhan.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Adam Mauser [sic] came from the German region of Dillenburg. The 1767 census records that Anna Maria Meiser came from the German village of Wintelz in the Nassau region.
