Georg Gebhardt, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a ship named Die Zwei Gebrüder (The Two Brothers) under the command of Skipper Nicolaus Peter Pinck.
Joh. Georg Gebhardt is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Widower Georg Ephardt [sic], a cobbler (Schuhmacher), is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 84 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Biberstein in 1768.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Gebhardt came from the German region of Württemberg. The 1767 census records that Georg Ephardt came from the German village of Mekmal [?].
There are no known surviving male lines of this Gebhardt family among the Volga German colonies.
