George Haensch, a day laborer (Tagelöhner) and hunter's apprentice (Jägerbursche), from Oranienbaum, originating in Saxony, left with three other persons. He owned a house that had 25 Thlr. debt. Its sale brought 35 Thlr.
Georg Hänsch [sic], his wife Maria, and sons (Gottfried, age 18; Gottlieb, age 13; Martin, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English barque named George under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.
Johann Georg Hänsch, his wife Maria, and sons (Gottfriedt, age 18; Gottlieb, age 13; Martin, age 8; Conradt, born en route) are recorded on the list of those being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Georg Hensch, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Johann Gottfried, age 20; Maria, age 14; Johann Gottlieb, age 13; Johann Martin, age 9) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kaneau in Household No. 16. They had settled there on 7 June 1767.
Gottfried Hänsch and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Boisroux in Households No. Bx14 and Bx22.
The 1850 census of Kaneau records in Household No. 10 that Andreas Hensch and his family moved to the daughter colony of Friedental and in Household No. 102 that Gottfried Hensch and his family moved to the daughter colony of Rosental [am Yeruslan].
The 1850 census of Rosental records that in 1848 the family of Christoph Hensch arrived from Kaneau.
The 1850 census of Rosental records that in 1849, the families of Andreas Hensch, Gottfried Hensch, Christian Hensch, and Melchior Hensch moved from Kaneau to the Rosental.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Hänsch came from the German region of Dessau. The 1767 census records that he came from the German region of Anhalt-Dessau.
