Andreas Bemutz, a carpenter (Zimmermann), his wife Dorothea, and son Johann Konrad (age 9-months) are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 8 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Nieder-Monjou in 1768. They had settled in Katharinenstadt on 27 August 1766.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Bemutz came from the German region of Beyreuth.
