Anton Chalitz, a surgeon (Chÿrurgus) from Dietigheim, & widow Catharina Maria Theresia Busch née Franck from Sinnburg in the Duchy of Bergen were married on 27 June 1766 in St. Mary's Lutheran Church of Büdingen.
Anton Chalitz, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Catharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Rehder.
Anton Schalitz, a farmer, and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Semenovka on 24 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 3.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Anton Chalitz came from the German region of Würzburg. The 1767 census records that Anton Schalitz came from the German village of Thüngersheim.
Widow Anna Maria Schalitz is recorded on the 1798 census of Semenovka in Household No. Se26.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
