Johannes Fischer, a mason (Maurer), his wife Anna Maria, and daughter Regina Dorothea (age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 39. They had settled there on 5 September 1767.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Fischer came from the German village of Urach in the Württemberg region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Fischer family among the Volga German colonies.
