Discussion & Documentation

Jakob März, a hunter (Jäger), and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 2 along with orphan Julianna [surname not recorded] (age 18). The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the März family and the orphan girl.

They had settled there on 13 August 1767. The 1767 census records that Jakob März came from the Danish town of Maribo.
