In 1782, widow Bernhard Bersa moved from Ober-Monjou to Wittmann.
Widower Bernhard Bersa and the family of his stepson are recorded on the 1798 census of Wittmann in Household No. Wm16.
The 1767 census records that Bernhardus Bersa came from the German village of Leidendorf.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
