Heinrich Brahm, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Johann, age 8; Elisabeth, age 7-weeks) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.
Joh. Heinrich Bram [sic], his wife Maria Justina, and children (Joh. Heinrich, age 8; Elisabeth, age ¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that mother Maria Justina and daughter Elisabeth died en route.
Johann Georg [sic] Brahm, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his [new] wife Maria, and son Heinrich (age 8) are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 13.
Father Johann Brahm and his [new] wife Barbara née Maier are recorded on the 1798 census of Wittmann in Household No. Wm28 along with a note that he is working in Katharinenstadt.
Son Johann Heinrich Brahm from Katharinenstadt and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Bettinger in Household No. Bt05.
The death of Heinrich Brahm in 1819 is recorded on the 1834 census of Bettinger in Household No. 27.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Heinrich Brahm came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Johann Georg [sic] Brahm came from the German village of A[l]sfeld.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Brahm family among the Volga German colonies.
