Discussion & Documentation
Jakob Sturm was born in approximately 1791, probably in France. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Herzog.
He is recorded on the 1834 census of Herzog in Household No. 333 along with a note that he relocated to Household No. 33 where he had died in 1834.
Modern generations of this family use the surname of Storm.
