August Hulde, a farmer, and his wife Dorothea arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a ship named Die Zwei Gebrüder (The Two Brothers) under the command of Skipper Nicolaus Peter Pinck.
August Hulde and his [new] wife Eva Maria are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johann August Holde [sic], a cloth weaver (Tuchweber), and his wife Eva settled in the Volga German colony of Orlovskaya on 3 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 13.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that August Hulde came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony). The 1767 census records that Johann August Holde came from the German village of Schmiedeberg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Hulde family among the Volga German colonies.
