Johann Mattias [sic] Haupt, a stonemason, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and daughters (Dorothea Louisa, age 16; Maria Elisabeth, age 11) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 7 August 1766 aboard the ship named Nordstern (North Star) under the command of Skipper Detlev Behling.
Johann Martin [sic] Haupt, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and daughters (Johanna Louisa, age 17; Dorothea Elisabeth, age 12) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Daughter Louisa Haupt is recorded on the 1798 census of Lauwe in Household No. Lw38 as the wife of Christian Drexler.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Mattias Haupt came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony).
