Discussion & Documentation

Christoph Blum, a wheelmaker (Radmacher), his wife Eleonora, and son Heinrich (age 3) are recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits (Household No. 31) appended to the 1767 census of the Volga German colonies.

It is not known in which colony they settled.

The 1767 census records that Christoph Blum came from the German village of Alsfeld.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Blum family among the Volga German colonies.
