History
There are families which intended to be Volga German colonists and which have been identified in various records as having been part of the Volga German migration from Western Europe to Russia but for which a final destination colony has not been identified. Some of these families may have died out entirely during the journey. Others are known to have arrived in the Volga German region, but have not been located in the documents of a particular colony after the first winter. Those families are listed here.
