Discussion & Documentation

Johannes Caspar Eck, son of Johannes Caspar Eck (25 August 1691 - 21 December 1749) & Susanna Acker (30 October 1713 - 17 March 1762), was born & baptized on 19 December 1741 in Orb.

Jakob Eck, a farmer, and his wife Margartha are recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits (Household No. 130) that is appended to the 1767 census of the Volga German colonies.

It is not known in which colony they settled.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Eck came from the German village of Orb.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Eck family among the Volga German colonies.
