Johann Seibel, his wife Katharina, and children (Elisabeth, age 16; Johann, age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Hans Karholm.
Johannes Seibel, his wife Catharina, and children (Elisabeth, age 16; Johann, age 9) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that the father and son both died in route.
It is not known in which colony the surviving family members settled.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Seibel family among the Volga German colonies.
