Konrad Bechthold, a stocking maker, and his wife Katharina from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the hooker Die Jungfer Dietrika under the command of skipper Christian Korsholm.
Konrad Pechhalbe [sic] and his wife Catarina are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Konrad died en route.
It is not known in which colony the Widow Bechthold settled.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Konrad Bechthold came from the German region of Darmstadt.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Bechthold family among the Volga German colonies.
