Margaretha Weiss, a single woman, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Eva Maria under the command of Skipper Franz Christopher Schröder.
Margaretha Weiss is not recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with others who arrived in Oranienbaum with her. She most probably died after arrival in Russia.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Weiss family among the Volga German colonies.
