Jean Pierre was born about 1791 in the French town of Curtin.
He served as a soldier in the 13th Light Infantry (Jäger) Regiment of Napoleon's Army. He fought against the Russians and was captured.
Milovidov records that as of 1814 his father, four brothers, and a sister were still living in Curtin.
He is recorded among the captured Napoleonic soldiers who were settled among the Volga German colonies, but it is not known in which colony he was settled.
Milovidov records that Jean Pierre came from the French town of Curtin.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Pierre family among the Volga German colonies.
