Discussion & Documentation

Rosina Günther arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Prinz Carl (Prince Carl) under the command of Skipper Christopher Losser.

Widow Rosine Günther is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

It is not known in which colony the Widow Günther settled.

The Oranienbaum passenger list does not record from where Rosina Günther came.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Günther family among the Volga German colonies.
