Volga Germans settled in Colonia La Marta, approximately 15 kilometers from Federal City between the creeks of Federal Chico, Chircal, Ponciano, and Maturrango. A total of 1,923 hectars was assigned to Volga German settlers from Crespo and Diamante.

On 14 January 1899 the colony of La Llave was officially founded by a decree issued by Governor Maciá. However, Volga German families who had first settled in Brazil had already been living there for ten years. There were also some Italians in the colony.

Colonia La Esperanza was founded in 1900 by Otto Rakow who came from La Esperanza in Santa Fe Province and was the first agricultural colony founded in Argentina. In 1888, several Volga German families settled south of La Esperanza and north of La Llave. They had arrived 10 years earlier in Brazil. Many were related to each other.

The village of Kranewitter was probably founded between 1910 and 1915. It was not really a village, but a collection of 6-7 houses. This configuration had been the original intent of administrator Navarro when he founded the villages in Colonia Alvear with a grouping of houses at the corners of the fields, but this plan was not carried out elsewhere.

Jacobi was founded by Protestant families in 1891/93. The colony took the name of many of the families who resettled there from Aldea Protestante.

The village of Irazusta was named after one of its first settlers, Juan José Irazusta. The railroad came through the area in 1909, but it was not until 18 October 1911 that a station was opened in Irazusta, at that time called Villa Eleonora.

Many Volga German families settled here.

Gualeguaychú is located in southeastern Entre Ríos Province, approximately 230 km northwest of Buenos Aires.

Many Volga German families settled in Gualeguaychú, moving there from other areas of Entre Ríos Province.

Grapschental was founded in 12 June 1886.

The village of Gilbert was founded in 1890. The town was named after the railroad station around which it was built. Gilbert was part of the Jewish settlement of Lucienville, which also included nearby Basavilbaso to the north.
