Church
A wooden chapel dating to around 900 has been located in Heuchelheim. It was dedicated to St. Martin, the Franconian national saint. A new church building was constructed in the 13th century that was originally dedicated to Mary & Saints George & Valentine. It was renovated in the 15th century and the dedication to St. Martin was restored. A new nave was constructed in 1512. The balconies were added in 1592. Following a collapse of the tower, the current spire was reconstructed in 1613.
During a renovation in 1925-1926, original wall paintings were uncovered and restored. The most recent renovation was completed in 2009.
