For centuries, the land on which Weissach is located on land that belonged to the Monastery of Maulbronn.

The church in Weissach is dedicated to St. Ulrich and is known as Ulrichskirche.

The fortified church in Weissach survived the fire in 1791. The sanctuary was renovated in 2019.
