Georg Adam Meier, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and children (Johann Philipp Adam, age 15; Katharina, age 13; Georg Jakob, age 12; Johannes, age 9; Anna Dorothea, age 7; Maria Elisabeth, age 3) migrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Flensburg on 1 August 1761 where they registered on 3 August 1761. They eventually settled in the Danish colony of Friederichsthal.

They were dismissed from the Danish colonies on 6 June 1763 and joined the migration to Russia.

Adam Meier, a farmer, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and children (Georg Jakob, age 18; Johannes, age 15; Dorothea, age 11) are recorded on the 1767 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. 19. They had arrived in Shcherbakovka on 15 June 1765.

In 1790, widow Christina Meier and her children moved from Shcherbakovka to Holstein.

The widow and children of Johannes Meier from Shcherbakovka are recorded on the 1798 census of Holstein in Household No. Ho03.

Georg Peter Meier and his brother Johann Bernhardt, sons of Johannes Meier, and their families are recorded on the 1834 census of Holstein in Household No. 24.

Karl Friedrich Meier, son of Georg Peter Meier, and his famiy are recorded on the 1857 census of Oberdorf in Households No. 30.

Friedrich Meier, son of Johann Bernhardt Meier, and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Oberdorf in Households No. 33.

Georg Friedrich Meier, son of Johann Bernhardt Meier, and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Oberdorf in Households No. 39.

Peter Meier & Johann Georg Meier, sons of Johann Bernhardt Meier, are recorded on the 1857 census of Holstein in Household No. 39 as relocating to the colony of Erlenbach in 1852. However only Johannes Peter Meier and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Erlenbach in Household No. 15. Brother Johann Georg Meier is recorded on the 1857 census of Oberdorf in Household No. 39.

The Eichhorns record that Georg Adam Meier came from the Klosteramt Maulbronn. The 1767 census of Shcherbakovka records that this Meier family is from the German village of Weissach.
