Aab
Johann Heinrich Aab, a farmer, his wife Anna [Trimper], children (Gerlach, age 4; Elisabeth, age ¾), and his brother Konrad arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the pink Lev under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov. His mother-in-law Anna Margaretha Trimper and sister-in-law Elisabeth (age 23) were also on this ship.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 16.
They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 103 along with mother-in-law Anna Margaretha Trimper (erroneously recorded as Elisabeth), age 62.
Konrad Aab from Grimm is recorded on the 1798 census of Dönhof in Household No. Dh068.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann Heinrich Aab came from the German district of Darmstadt.
