Andreas Andreasson [sic], a tobacco worker (Tabakhändler), and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 May 1766 aboard the galliot named Adler under the command of the Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
They arrived in the Volga German colony of Dinkel on 27 July 1767. Andreas is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 4 along with a [new] wife Anna Maria, the widow of Anton Peter Rau, and her children. [See Rau Family.]
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Andreasson [sic] came from the German region of Holstein. The 1767 census records that Andreas Andersen came from the town of Tauban in the Holstein region.
