Georg Aschplef, a farmer, and his wife Louisa settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 29 June 1764. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 17.

Georg Aschblef and his wife Louisa are recorded on the 1798 census of Dobrinka in Household No. 17 along with stepson Johannes Bieg [Büge].

The 1767 census records that Georg Aschplef came from the Finnish province of Uloa.

There are no surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
