Hans Dietrich Becker, a farmer, and his wife Dorothea arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adam Drath.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Laub on 15 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 48.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Hans Dietrich Becker came from the German region of Lindenberg. The 1767 census records that Johann Dietrich Bäcker came from the German village of Alten in the Holstein region.
