Hans Dietrich Becker, a farmer, and his wife Dorothea arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Adler (Eagle) under the command of Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
Hans Dietrich Becker and his wife Dorothea are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Laub on 15 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 48.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Hans Dietrich Becker came from the German region of Lindenberg. The 1767 census records that Johann Dietrich Bäcker came from the German village of Alten in the Holstein region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Becker family among the Volga German colonies.
