Balthasar (Paulskaya)
Christopher Baltzer [sic] & Christiana Sophia Ebert were married on 10 April 1766 in Roßlau.
Christoph Balthasar, a farmer, and his wife Sophia arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Paulskaya on 22 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 26 along with orphan brothers Friedrich Boxhorn (age 13) and Johann Daniel Boxhorn (age 5). The relationship between the Balthasar and Boxhorn families is not recorded.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christoph Balthasar came from the German village of Halle while the 1767 census records that Christoph Balzer [sic] came from the German region of Dessau.
