Discussion & Documentation

Anna Maria Bauer, daughter of Baltzer Bauer & Anna Dorothea Schneidmühl, was baptized on 28 May 1766 in the Lutheran Cathedral (Evangelische Kirche Dom) in Lübeck.

Balthasar Bauer, a farmer, his wife Anna Dorothea, and daughter Anna Maria (age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Perepechin.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 23.

The 1767 census records that Balthasar Bauer came from the German village of Birstein in the Isenburg region.
