Beier / Beyer (Semenovka)
Philipp Bauer [sic], a farmer, his wife Maria Anna, and children (Maria, age 16; Johann, age 13; Marianna, age 7; Paul, age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Hermann Anderson.
Philipp Ayer [sic], his wife Maria, and children (Mar. Elisab., age 16; Joh. George, age 14; Mariana, age 8; Paul, age 4) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that the mother Maria died in route.
Widower Philipp Beier, a farmer, and his children (Elisabeth, age 17; Hans Georg, age 15; Maria, age 9; Paul, age 5½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Semenovka in Household No. 35. They had arrived in Semenovka on 24 July 1767.
Son Georg Beier and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kamenka in Household No. Km007.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Philipp Bauer [sic] came from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Froschhausen in the Kurmainz region.
