Christoph Beier, a saddler (Sattler), his wife Anna Katharina, and children (Christoph, age 22; Anna Dorothea, age 20) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 August 1766 aboard the galliot named Die Perle (The Pearl) under the command of Skipper Gerhardt Hermann Thomsen.
Christoph Beyer, his wife Catharina, and children (Christoph, age 23; Dorothea, age 12) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that son Christoph died in route.
It is not known in which colony they settled.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christoph Beier came from the German region of Hanau.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Beier family among the Volga German colonies.
