Belger
Christina Elionora Belger, daughter of Johann Andreas Belger & Maria Elisabeth Köbel, was baptized on 9 May 1766 in St. Peter Lutheran Church in Lübeck.
Andreas Belger, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Augusta age 13; Anna, age 9; Johann, age 6; Maria, age 3; Christina, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax. The death of daughter Maria is recorded on the passenger list, but the exact date is illegible.
Andreas Belger, his wife Maria, and children (Augusta, age 13; Louisa, age 10¼; Christian, age 6; Eleonore, age 1) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Andreas Belger, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Justina, age 16; Louisa, age 14; Christian, age 11; Christina, age 2½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Orlovskaya in Household No. 9. They had settled there on 7 June 1767.
In 1785, Christian Belger moved from Orlovskaya to Kind.
Christian Belger from Orlovskaya and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kind in Household No. Kd20.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Andreas Belger came from the German region of Köthen.
