Johann [Georg] Penetell, a farmer, his wife Anna, children (Maria, age 5; Johann, age ½), and his mother Anna (age not recorded) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.

Johannes Penetell, his wife Elisabetha, and children (Maria Elisabetha, age 6; Johann Heinrich, age 1½) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that son Johann Heinrich died en route.

Johann Binedel [sic], a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and daugther Maria (age 7) are recorded on the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 79. They had settled there on 3 August 1767.

The widow and sons (Georg & Kaspar) of [Johann] Georg Binedell are recorded on the 1798 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. Nm57.

The death of Georg (junior) Binedell in 1799 is recorded on the 1811 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 57.

Kaspar Binedell and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 69.

The 1767 census records that Johann [Georg] Penetell came from the district of Steinfurt.

Over the years, the spelling of Penetell has become Binedell.
