Bischof (Biberstein)*
Karl Bissenhof [sic], a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.
Karl Bischof is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 71 along with a note that he relocated to the Volga German colony of Biberstein in 1768.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Karl Bischof came from the German region of Erbach.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Bischof family among the Volga German colonies.
