Bernhard [sic] Platz, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and son Burgarthus (age ½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Volmer in Household No. 14. They had arrived in Volmer on 18 July 1766.
Burghard Blatz and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Volmer in Household No. Vm45.
The 1767 census records that Bernhard Platz came from the German village of Brühl.
