Philipp Brandt, a farmer, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and children (Joseph, age 6; Franz, age ¼) settled in the Volga German colony of Graf on 10 June 1766 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 15.
The 1767 census records that Philipp Brandt came from the German village of Heilbronn.
