Braun (Grimm-2)
Conrad Braun from Deckenbach in the district of Homburg on the Ohm & Eliesab. Wirsing from Marckhöbel were married on 4 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.
Konrad Braun, a weaver, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard the Russian pink Vologda under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.
They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 150 along with daughters Katharina (age 6) and Eva Maria (age ¾).
Daughter Katharina is recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm059.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Konrad Braun came from the German region of Darmstadt.
