Philipp Brehm, a single miller, arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 17 July 1766 aboard a pink named Lev (Lion) under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov.
Philipp Brehm, his wife Katharina, and daughters (Katharina, age 6½; Anna Elisabeth, age 1½) are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 85.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Philipp Brehm came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony).
There are no known surviving male lines of this Brehm family among the Volga German colonies.
