Johann Ludwig Breier, a craftsman (Handwerker), settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 15 April 1765. He is recorded there on the 1767 in Household No. 50 along with his new wife Maria Katharina and 4-month-old daughter Regina.

The 1767 census records that Johann Ludwig Breier came from the German village of Demmin in the region of Prenzbahn [?].
