Busch (Grimm)
Johann (Hans) Balthasar Busch, son of Hans Adam & Anna Maria Busch, was born on 7 April 1719 in Michelbach am Heuchelberg. He married Anna Marghareta Booser, daughter of Michael Booser, on 28 April 1750 in Sternenfels. The births of 3 daughters have been located in the records of Sternenfels: (1) Anna Catharina, born 3 August 1751; (2) Sabina Catharina, born 22 April 1758; and Margaretha, born 11 April 1760.
Johann Balthasar Busch, his wife Margaretha, and children (Johannes, age 18; Anna Katharina, age 14; Maria Meygra [sic], age 10; Maria Margaretha, age 5) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Flensburg on 17 July 1761. They are last recorded among the Danish colonies on 7 January 1765.
They joined the migration to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm. They are recorded there on the 1775 census in Households No. 67 and 73.
In 1788, Johannes Busch and his family moved from Grimm to Enders.
The Eichhorns record that Johann Balthasar Busch came from "der Amte Güglingen, Herzogtum Württemberg."
