Dörfler (Jost)
Christian Dörfler, a single tailor (Schneider), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Die Neue Freiheit von Bremen under the command of Skipper Steingrawer.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Jost on 5 July 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 21 along with his new wife, Anna Margaretha.
The 1767 census records that Christian Dörfler came from the German village of Lückstedt in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).
