Heinrich Döring, a farmer, his wife Maria, children (Johann, age 12; Bernhard [sic], age 9; Anna, age 4), and servant Johann [Hassenflug] (age 18) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.
Johann Heinrich Döring, a farmer, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and children (Johann Michael, age 12; Eberhardt [sic], age 10; Anna Margaretha, age 6) settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 150 along with orphan Johannes Hassenflug (age 18), son of Johannes Hassenflug. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Döring and Hassenflug families.
At some point, Johann Heinrich's son, Nikolaus, moved to Moor because in 1789, Nikolaus Döring is recorded moving from Moor to Norka.
The 1834 census of Norka (Household No. 36) records that Adam Döring relocated to the colony of Reinwald in 1824.
Johannes Döring from the 1857 census of Norka (Household No. 48) is recorded on the 1857 census of Brunnental.
The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Döring came from the German district of Isenburg.
