Widower Daniel Dotz, a baker, and his daughter Magdalena (age 24) arrived from Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
Widower Daniel Dotz, a craftsman (Handwerker), settled in the Volga German colony of Fischer on 20 June 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Daniel Dotz came from the German region of Nassau. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Wiesepans [?] in the region of Nassau.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
