Dreith
Johann Christoph Treudt [sic] & Christina Bauer were married on 11 March 1766 in the Lutheran Church in Büdingen.
Johann Christoph Dreith, a farmer, and his wife Anna Christina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the galliot Die Fortuna under the command of Skipper Peter Stahl. They settled in the Volga German colony of Beideck and are recorded there on the 1775 census in Household No. 54.
They are recorded as "Traut" on 1798 census of Beideck.
The 1834 census of Beideck records both spellings.
Further generations have used the spelling of Dreith.
Postings on the Wolgadeutsche.net blog report that Johann Christoph Dreith was born 22 February 1737 in the Isenburg region of Germany and died 7 March 1816 in Beideck. He was married to Anna Christina Bauer who was born about 1736 in Germany and died on 5 July 1801 in Beideck.
The death of Christoph Dreith in 1816 is recorded on the 1834 census of Beideck in Household No. 19.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Christoph Dreith came from the German region of Isenburg.
