Johann Gottfried Dreitzler, a carpenter (Zimmermann), his wife Maria Elisabeth, and daughter Maria Dorothea (age 5-weeks) are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 53. They had settled there on 13 September 1767.

The 1767 census records that Johann Gottfried Dreitzler came from the German village of Zittau in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).
