Eberhard Ehl, a farmer, and his wife Anna Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Semenovka on 24 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 11.

The 1767 census records that Eberhard Ehl came from the German village of Kämmerzell in the Fulda region.
